Painswick Ladies

I meet with my Painswick ladies once a week and we have a good chat, craft and a cup of tea and biscuits.  It's a really great start to the weekend.

This week we have used some of the FREE paper from Sale-a-bration called Sweet Sorbet and the gorgeous Zoo Babies stamp set.  One of the ladies has a grandson to be born very soon and the others wanted cards they could give to their Grandchildren on birthdays.

Here is what we got up to....

We created a background using Gorgeous Grunge (one of my favourites at the moment) and the star stamp from the Sale-a-bration set Banner Blast.  The photograph really doesn't do it justice the light here at the moment is awful, its such a dull and dreary day.

The animals took some time to cut out but we got there in the end and they were delighted with the finished item.

Remember you can get the Sweet Sorbet Papers and the Banner Blast stamp set FREE with every £45.00 you spend in Sale-a-bration.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Zoo Babies, Gorgeous Grunge, Banner Blast
Inks:  So Saffron, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz
Paper:  Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Silver Glimmer Paper
Embellishments:  White Twine, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
Accessories:  Deco-label Framelits, Decorative Label Punch

All items are available in my online shop, or if you would like to go through anything with me give me a call on 07551979745.

Spiral Flower

One of my downline had lost her mo-jo and I wanted to cheer her up.
I created her this money saving tin to put in all her pennies ready for convention (yippee looking forward to it already, it's not until October)

I've used the Petal Parade papers which are FREE when you spend £45.00.
These papers are really pretty and I love the colour combination.
The flowers on top are created using the spiral flower die using Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and  Crisp Cantaloupe.
The quote is from the "Feel Goods" stamp set which I haven't used for a while, it definitely needed dusting off xx

Wonderful Washi

We all know that Washi Tape is an amazing addition to our craft supplies.
My 5 year has also found out how great it is.  After sneaking some out of my craft room she made Barbie this amazing bodycon dress.

Barbie is so on trend even though she is in last seasons colours!

Sweet Treats

Everyone loves a little sweet treat and when there all wrapped up in a gorgeous little package they taste even better.  I've made one each of these for my girls for when they get home from school tomorrow, although the eldest has been off  today with a horrible sore throat and temperature so probably wont be at school or eating sweets tomorrow afternoon.

I  picked up these mini jars from a recent trip to Ikea.
They are such a great size to fill with little treats and could fit with so many occasions.
Although I am not banking on the girls using the spoons to eat the sweets, that would take far to long,
I think it adds that finishing touch.
Well I will see if they like them tomorrow?

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Language of Love, Fabulous Phrases
Ink:  Real Red
Paper:  Whisper White, Real Red, DSP Polka Dot Parade
Embellishments:  Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
Accessories:  2-3/8 Scallop Circle, 1-3/4 Scallop Circle, 1-3/8 Circle, Small Heart

I Freakin Love You!

Well what an awful day it has been down here, luckily though I finished my house work in record time today and I was off into my craft room for some much needed craft therapy, the real red ink splodges on my hands are proving hard to get rid of!

Well as it's the day of love coming soon and at work we have had love week with our preshoolers I thought I should follow that theme this week on the blog.

I ran a watercolour card class yesterday evening and we experimented with creating backgrounds.  I created this one using the colours Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Real Red on a large block then spritzed it with water and then placed it directly onto the cardstock. It creates a great effect and you can play with lots of different colours.

I've used the Language of Love stamp set again, I love the little hearts they are so cute and with a matching punch they are so easy to cut out .

The card design was inspired by this weeks challenge on Freshly Made Sketches which you can find HERE, I find sketches a great place to start when your having a bit of a crafting block.

The sentiment for this one is from Yippee Skippee.  "I Freakin Love You" is not a phrase I would usually use but it's fun and everyone who looks at this set has a laugh at it. x

Sprial Flowers

One of the new additions to the catalogue is the Spiral Flower Die.

129379 - £15.95

You can create three dimensional flowers for your projects with ease.
I have a brand new baby niece and I create this hairband just for her using this new die.
Doesn't she look gorgeous showing it off, she just could contain her excitement at wearing this new Stampin Up! design she fell asleep xx

As the Die is a Bigz Die it will cut through fabric as well as the standard cardstock and paper so it really can be used for a variety of projects.

I've used it on felt for this project as I didn't want it to fray then attached the flowers to the Pistachio Ruffle Trim. It is slightly elasticated which is great for this cute hairband, watch out Deyzi you may get this in a variety of colours.

Please contact me if you would like to order any of the products used or visit my online shop.

Sale-a-bration Fun!

Well what a great start to Sale-a-bration, I had 15 lovely ladies join me for my launch party and what a great night we had. The start was a little bit crazy, we were locked out of the venue and had to quickly find another place, luckily we were able to use my workplace.  Big thank you to my boss a bottle of wine is on its way xx

We originally created this card using sale-a-bration products at team training with Kerry and Caroline.  I love the card layout and I wanted to try out the new Fresh Prints paper stack.  So I have teamed the two together and here is the finished project.

(Sorry about the ink splodge it passed around quite a bit at the party)

The stamp set used is from the Spring/Summer catalogue its called Petit Petals and it comes with a matching punch, this makes creating cards and scrapbook layouts so simple and easy. The sentiment used is from the "See Ya Later" set which you can receive FREE when you spend £45.00 in either catalogue.
