Butterflies and Daisies

The sun has been shining and what a great way to spend an
evening, crafting with 11 lovely ladies where we created two gorgeous cards and a little gift box.

Butterflies and Daisies were the inspiration for the evening.  I have used the Papillion Potpourri set which is a favourite among my class and teamed it with Gorgeous Grunge.  This card was one I made for the "Colour Throwdown" Challenge and so many liked it, it was definitely one we needed to make.  I created a mini box to match the card using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

Secondly we created a Daisy inspired card, using the gorgeous grunge and the Blossom Party Die.

The daisies look like they are just opening up to the sunshine and the Feel Goods sentiment worked perfectly to finish this card.

Below is a list of supplies used.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Papillion Potpourri, Feel Goods, Secret Garden
Inks:  Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Paper:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Natural White, Baked Brown Sugar
Embellishments:  Natural Thread, Rhinestones, Gold Sequin Trim
Accessories:  Itty Bitty Butterfly Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Blossom Party Die, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Blender Pens.

Scrapbook Sunday

Another instalment of Scrapbook Sunday for all of you scrapbookers out there.  I really enjoy scrapbooking and it was one of the reasons I joined Stampin Up! as everything co-ordinates perfectly.
I wanted to create a clean and simple layout ready for my first scrapbook class on Saturday.  Although the ladies coming are all cardmakers they are all new recruits to the world of scrapbooking and I wanted the layout to be one that everyone could have a go at.

So I decided on the Retro Fresh paper which I love, its fun and funky and can be used for a number of photographs and occasions.

I have created a grid where 4 small photographs can be added.  I then added the Banner Blast bunting, but it was just missing something and that's where the amazing Washi Tape just tied everything together.

If you would like to create this layout below is a list of supplies.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Hello Lovely
Inks:  Costal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Costal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Retro Fresh
Embellishments:  Washi Tape, Gold Sequin Trim
Accessories:  Banner Punch

Hoppy Easter Everyone

I hope the Easter Bunny has been to visit you all today.  I know he has been to our house so chocolate is definitely on the menu.  We have a great day planned spending time with our families  I am cooking up a storm in the kitchen with Roast Beef and all the trimmings, then we will be joining Tim's parents and sister for an Easter Egg Hunt in the garden.
Well on my Pinterest search for an Easter Bunny I came a across a post by Stickstickcut who had made a bag into a bunny.  So out came my Stampin Up! Kraft bags and I followed the instructions to create this delightful little bunny, complete with pink bunny ears and a little heart nose.

We are enjoying a busy Easter Sunday, how are you spending yours?

Poorly Laptop

Well the last week I have been without the laptop so no blogging!   When you suddenly are unable to use something it really shows have much you rely on it and I have lots of things to blog about.

So I came across the challenge site - Colour Throwdown check out the blog HERE, and decided to play along with this weeks colour theme, the gorgeous pastel colours just inspired me to create.

Firstly I came up with this dinky little notecard.

I've used Gorgeous Grunge, it's such a versatile stamp set.  When I hear grunge I automatically think of mud, dirt and boys but when teamed with pastel shades, butterflies and a bit of bling it becomes very girlie.

I have nearly finished a scrapbook page using the same colour combo but it's not quite there yet so you will have to stay tuned for that one.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Papillion Potpourri
Ink:  Pistachio Pudding, Soft Sky, So Saffron
Paper:  Whisper White
Embellishments:  Natural Thread, Rhinestones
Accessories:  Large Butterfly Punch

Scrapbook Sunday

I have loved playing with the spiral flower die this weekend. I created flowers using the Real Red cardstock and they looked just like the red roses I had in the bouquet when me and my husband were married.

I created this layout with these flowers in mind.  I have mounted it in a box frame and it is now sat nicely in my lounge for all to see.

The foliage at the two edges was created using the Everything Eleanor set , I then stamped the leaves from the Secret Garden set and placed them under the roses.
I didn't want the photograph to get lost on the page so I have  framed it using the Papaya Collage set and heat embossed the frame in gold.  Some Gorgeous Grunge and Pearls just add that little something to the background so it doesn't look to plain.

Why not try and create something special for your home, details of all the supplies used are below.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Everything Eleanor, Secret Garden, Papaya Collage
Inks:  Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Versamark, Gold Embossing Powder
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Real Red
Embellishments:  Pearls
Accessories:  Heat Tool, Secret Garden Framelits, Spiral Flower Die

Mothers Day

I celebrated a lovely Mothers Day with all of my family.  Me, my husband and two girls enjoyed a delicious bagel and  cappuccino breakfast then we headed to lunch with my Mum, Dad and Sisters.  The fun didn't stop there, our next stop was my sister in laws to see Tim's mum and enjoy some chocolate dipped viennese  whirls, they are sooo nice if you haven't had one you must try it.

So on to what crafty adventures I've been up to.  I ran a special Mother's Day class on Thursday with 11 ladies. Here are the two cards which we created, I gave my mum the "1 in a million card" she loved it.

I created her a special gift using a  white wicker heart, which I then decorated with flowers created from the spiral flower die.  The larger flowers were created using two die cuts wound together.   I like to spritz them with water first as it helps when winding them up and manipulating the petals.

Did you create something special for your mum?
