Scrapbook Sunday

Another Scrapbook Sunday and a Happy Birthday to me and my Dad.  Yes you read it correctly my Dad and me share the same birthday, I was the best present ever!  Well that's what I say, I'm not sure my Dad would always agree.
So this Sunday we were really busy with Birthday's and Mothers Day and I was such a lucky lady, my husband bought me a Kindle Fire which I was not expecting, although I had dropped quite a few hints.

So here is a quick and simple page using the new Hip Hip Hooray Kit, not just for cards as you can see.

The picture was taken on a trip to Bournmouth where we found Morlands Country Park.  We had a fantastic day with climbing activities and sculptures dotted around the forest walk, it really was a great find.

I created the page by cutting up the cards into strips then I created a pattern behind the photograph, I added a few embellishments from the kit and then I had a finished layout.

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Hip Hip Hooray Kit
Paper:  Very Vanilla

Friday Painswick Ladies

These Fridays seem to come around so fast and here I am again with another card from my Painswick ladies.

This week we created a pattern with the Six Sided Sampler set which was a set we hadn't used before.
They were all thrilled with their finished cards and they really enjoyed stamping and putting this one together.

The inspiration for this card came from this cup and saucer set.  I love the colours and the ditsy print and I new the stamp in the Six Sided Sampler would work perfectly.

I love getting inspiration from everyday items, how about you?  What has inspired you today?

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Six Sided Sampler, Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink:  Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive

Party Cards

I had a great party on Monday evening with 12 lovely ladies and we created a card using the new hardwood background and flower shop stamp set.

This stamp is becoming a new favourite of mine and I've been using it on a number of projects, it also became a favourite for some of the ladies and they too have added it to their craft stash.

I always like to add a blinged up version of the card to show how a few more products can change the look.

Scrapbook Sunday

I'm back with Scrapbook Sunday!

My scrapbook mo-jo has been a bit wobbly lately and each time I created something it was just not right.  But a copy of Scrap 365 has definitely kick started my scrapping side.  One of the sketches just jumped out at me and I new straight away the paper and stamp sets I wanted to use.

The papers from the Sweet Sorbet Sale-a-bration range just reminded me of the floral designs on the caravan we found when we visited our local bird park, I then teamed it with the Banner Blast bunting and Petal Parade set and then I had a completed layout.

The flowers needed a centre and these were created using the pressed clay and mould. I coloured them using the Stampin Markers to co-ordinate with the rest of the layout.

I'm really pleased with the final result and already full of ideas for the next layout xx

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Banner Blast, Petal Parade, See Ya Later
Inks:  Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Sahara Sand
Paper:  Whisper White, Sahara Sand,Pool Party, Silver Glimmer Paper
Embellishments:  Natural Thread
Accessories: 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Simple Pressed Clay and Moulds.

Time to play

It's not very often that I have time to just play with my craft stuff, but this afternoon I did just that.
The girls were both at friends for tea, the house was clean (ish) so what better excuse to go and have a play in my craft room.

I love a stamped background and I created this one using the Language of Love set and the colour palette from
Sale-a-bration.

Friday Class

I joined my regular ladies for our Friday Class, this week they wanted something simple with flowers that had a spring feel.

They do keep me busy!

After a walk to our local park the other weekend I could help notice how lovely the trees looked with all of the blossom on them, and this image was the inspiration for this card.

The flourish is from the Everything Eleanor set and I've teamed it with the Petite Petals set and matching punch.

I think I covered the brief set out by my ladies, don't you?

Stamps:  Everything Eleanor, Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks:  Primrose Petals, Old Olive

Race Week

It's race week in my neck of the woods so everyone has gone horsey crazy.  I haven't had chance to go this year but it hasn't stopped me creating something to fit the occasion.

Me and my hubby placed a few bets today ready for Gold Cup.  It's great fun cheering your horse on willing them over the finish line, we must have looked crazy to anyone walking past our lounge, jumping up and down in front of the TV. But we definitely weren't bothered after our £104 win on Very Wood a 41/1 outsider!

So here is the congratulations card to ourselves x

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Tag It, Simply Stars, Banner Blast
Inks:  Baked Brown Sugar, Versamark, Gold Embossing Power

Petite Petal Decorations

Myself and one of my team ran a Craft CafĂ© last weekend and I wanted to create a table decoration to showcase products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue and how they could be used in different ways.

When I first saw the petit petals punch a hydrangea ball of petals instantly sprang to mind, so I wanted to try and re-create it using the punch and polystyrene balls.

Here is the finished design.  I really enjoyed creating this, but after pushing in all of the pins my thumbs and fingertips were not so happy.

I've used Pink Pirouette and Pool Party which work really well together.   The tag on the front of the milk jar was created using the "Your Lovely" stamp set and I finished it off with a few more Petite Petals.

If you would like to create on of these for your home, below is the supply list.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Petite Petals, Your Lovely
Inks: Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Embellishments:  Pool Party Seam Binding, Rhinestones
Accessories:  Deco Label Framelits

What a busy week!

What a busy week we have had, classes, deliveries, school trips, brownies and gymnastics the list is as long as my arm!
I was planning on posting this morning but today we woke up to glorious sunshine, yes you read it correctly we saw SUN!  It was amazing, the girls thought summer was here and they needed shorts and T-shirts and Mum where's the suncream?  It wasn't that hot.  It was lovely to get outside, get an ice-cream and practice roller skating, and return home to tuck into Sunday roast, delicious.

So I'm sorry blogging took a back seat this week.

I ran a class with 13 lovely ladies and we used products from Sale-a-bration.  The first card we made was inspired by a post by Martha Inchley and it fitted perfectly after the sun we had seen today.  We have used the See Ya Later set and created a sunshine using a sponge effect.

For the second project we used the Hello Lovely and Banner Blast stamp sets and the Sweet Sorbet paper stack, each one is yours for FREE with every £45.00 you spend within Sale-a-bration.

The third project was a little gift bag which is easily made using a 6 x4 piece of DSP.

I've used the Petal Parade Stamps set on this one and the gorgeous Crisp Cantaloupe twine in the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack
